I recently had the privilege of visiting Rainbows, and it’s an extraordinary place. More than a hospice, Rainbows is a home filled with comfort, laughter, and love. Where families can make the most of every precious moment together.
Who are Rainbows?
Rainbows provides specialist care for over 750 babies, children, and young people living with terminal and life-limiting conditions across the East Midlands. From pain management and palliative to emergency support and end-of-life care, they offer more than just medical care; they provide warmth, dignity, and support to children and their families when they need it most.
Whether at their hospice in Loughborough, in hospital, or at home, Rainbows are there offering not just treatment, but moments of laughter, memory-making, and love.

From the nurses and therapists to the dedicated volunteers, every member of the Rainbows team pours their heart into bringing light and happiness to families during their most difficult times. Community fundraiser for Rainbows Maria Thompson said: “We are over the moon Zanypig has chosen to support us in this way”.
“This year alone the care we provide will cost in the region of £8.5million, we receive 13 per cent of this from statutory funding, but the rest comes from our wonderful supporters”.
